Orkonerei Fm Radio Service is a Community Radio with registration number 129496 , registered under Section 11 of Broadcasting Act of 1993 of the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania and given a Licence No; 00000055(Broadcasting Service Licence Category “A’’) to provide Broadcasting service specified in the Annex(Services Licence).

 It has been in operations since June 2002 following its formation to address sustainability in provision of media services among pastoralists’ communities in northern Tanzania (Manyara, Arusha and Kilimanjaro). Orkonerei Fm Radio Head Office is located in Terrat, Simanjiro. It also has a liaison office in Arusha (Sakina and Olasiti) and its core activity is Community Radio Broadcasting.
